Samuel Rodzenák: Príjemne ma prekvapilo, že som uspel. Doteraz som totiž nemal skúsenosť s výhrami v podobnej, myslím v dizajnérskej súťaži. Pomáhal som tiež spolužiačke s počítačovou vizualizáciou jej projektu, s ktorým sa zúčastnila súťaže Public art festival Contest 2015 na festival Pohoda a, vyhrala. Pri takomto skóre by bola škoda nesúťažiť aj naďalej.

Samuel Rodzenák: Keďže išlo o zdravotnícku tému, išiel som na vec priamo. Otvoril som si anatomický atlas, prezrel prevádzky, kde sa ortopedické pomôcky vyrábajú a rozhodol sa pre „anatomický“ vzhľad korzetu a ortézy. Pôvodný tvar bol subtílnejší, musel som na objeme, kvôli  pevnosti niečo pridať, ale pôvodný zámer zostal zachovaný. Počas výroby referenčnej vzorky sme krok za krokom riešili, ako vyrobiť pomôcku tak, aby sa dala vyrobiť z materiálov, ktoré sú v Neoprote k dispozícií a zároveň, aby sa čo najviac priblížila vzhľadu a farebnosti  návrhu. Z tohto dôvodu som si dal vytlačiť menší model v 3D tlačiarni a s jeho pomocou sme vytvorili kompromis. Táto skúsenosť mi ukázala aké zložité je skĺbiť predstavu dizajnéra s výrobnou praxou.

Samuel Rodzenák: Témou koncoročných klauzúrnych prác boli reproduktory,  to bola celkom príjemná téma, ale zatiaľ ťažko hovoriť o nejakom množstve. Na Škole úžitkového výtvarníctva Jozefa Vydru v Bratislave je dizajn nový odbor, my sme vlastne boli prvým otvoreným ročníkom, tak sa niekedy cítime ako „pokusníci“. V prvom ročníku sme sa venovali najmä kresbe a niektorým počítačovým programom. V druhom ročníku to bolo obdobné, len sa nám zmenil pedagóg na počítače a ideme trochu inak. Čo nám ale chýba, je obyčajné modelovanie z hliny, veď sme odbor priemyselného dizajnu, teda práca v 3D médiu by pre nás mala byť základom.

Samuel Rodzenák: Pravdepodobne áno, uvažoval som už aj o štúdiu v zahraničí. Zaujímam sa o architektúru, interiérový a produktový dizajn, asi budem „kombinovať“. V tejto súvislosti mi nedá nespomenúť určitú oblasť súčasnej architektúry. Konkrétne problém revitalizácie a humanizácie centier našich miest. Vznikajú vydláždené plochy bez zelene, v lete sálajúce teplom, čím sa úspešne darí vyhnať ľudí z týchto miest. Nedávno som bol v Berlíne, ale nie len tam, vyzerá súčasná architektúra ináč. Okrem architektúry, najmä tej modernej, ma zaujíma dizajnérska tvorba a v nej predovšetkým využitie  dreva. Je to úžasný materiál, príjemný na dotyk krásneho vzhľadu a širokých možností.

Hľadám inšpirácie v prírode, kde nájdete množstvo tvarov, farieb a neobjavených nápadov. Prekvapuje ma podmorský svet, svet hmyzu, ale aj ja mám niekedy pocit, že všetko je už vymyslené.
